Done! Wooooooooo!

April 5

like how the water globules
are shaken--with time--from the
nature they cling to,
words have finally been shaken
from inside the human cage

the illest of it now out,
seasons open

April 26

socket where once there was housed
and eye still might be there an eye
but dryness, too, has made its way in
the eye has diminished to make way
for the new incursion of the harmful
letting drip of all that makes an eye
an eye—a body of moisture contained
in the socket-skull it all leaks out now
there is feeling that might never cease

it always ceases, eventually,
leaving dryness and a peculiar itch
in the ducts which desire that
lubrication which all sloughed off in
the chafe—in those moments of brutal
internal scuffling. the sockets have been
scuffed, all their wetness has been
evacuated in heaving and cry
please rehydrate, eye, the wide swinging
between the drought and the flood
is like a bible erupting, causing
fissures in the sockets.

April 30

April is indeed the cruelest month
no lilacs have been bred
just the dead land and its barrenness,
clanging around dryly in my lungs

all has shifted across this month.
summiting has been the most
erroneous diseases, out of the mouth
now and mutable

a paralysis seems to have dispersed itself;
not the paralysis of the past, of overtaking
numbness and seizing misery or of
a suppression constricting all within

no, now it is a far more dreadful possibility:
to give in to a craving for internal fixing.
see, for twenty years now
has inside been a locus for storming and
tempest. but this is a different April than all
the other Aprils so rife with their deadly-bred lilacs

twenty years have passed and now I
wish to seize all these evils,
for the damages to ease, for breath to
finally begin taking gentler strokes
against the walls of my lungs and
begin to correct
everything that has ruined and
produced ruins

In other news, as a celebration of a most successful Undergraduate Research Conference, myself and the nerds I live with decided that baked goods were in order:

Now to just get through the rest of this quarter and summer (read: actual sleep) will finally be had!
